The Story

Kara Zor-El, a Kryptonian survivor who spent decades in suspended animation after Krypton's destruction, finally crash-lands on Earth. Disoriented and burdened by the immense responsibility of her lost civilization, she soon discovers that her infant cousin, Kal-El, has grown into the world-renowned hero known as Superman. Kara struggles immensely to adapt to human society, which she finds baffling and chaotic, and to understand the immense, often overwhelming, powers she now possesses under Earth's yellow sun. Her initial attempts at heroism are clumsy, leading to unintentional collateral damage and making her doubt her place and purpose on this alien world. She is pursued by a shadowy government agency, Project Cadmus, which seeks to control or weaponize her abilities, further complicating her integration and trust issues.
