Storyline

Twelve years after their most infamous heist, the renowned group of illusionists known as the Four Horsemen lie scattered across the globe, living quiet lives away from the spotlight. Their peace is interrupted when a trio of young magicians—Charlie, Bosco and June—perform a daring fake-Four Horsemen show that tricks a corrupt cryptocurrency mogul into handover of millions and catches the eye of the secret society known as The Eye. J. Daniel Atlas reaches out and brings together the old Horsemen and the new recruits for a mission to steal the “Heart” diamond, a gem guarded by the powerful and ruthless Veronika Vanderberg, a diamond heiress whose company launders money for warlords and traffickers. The plan takes the group from Antwerp to the deserts of Abu Dhabi, through rotating chambers, hidden vaults and misdirection that blur illusion with reality. Veronika, meanwhile, manipulates events to trap the Horsemen in a glass cube filling with sand, and later retreats to her vault for a final confrontation. In a dramatic twist it emerges that Charlie is Veronika’s half-brother and the true mastermind, orchestrating every move to bring down her empire and expose her clients. With the heist complete, the stolen diamond’s value is redistributed to victims of Vanderberg’s crimes, and The Eye formally inducts the younger magicians into its ranks while hinting at a larger mission to come.
