Ice Age

Storyline

As the Earth enters a new Ice Age, a grumpy, solitary mammoth named Manny stubbornly trudges north against the mass migration of animals heading south. He soon encounters Sid, a clumsy and boisterous sloth who has been abandoned by his family. Reluctantly, Manny allows Sid to follow him. Their path soon crosses with a human encampment that has been attacked by a pack of saber-tooth tigers seeking revenge for a previous human hunt. In the aftermath, Manny and Sid discover a human infant, separated from its mother. The baby's mother, before succumbing to her injuries, entrusts the baby to Manny. Driven by a newfound sense of purpose, Sid insists they return the baby to its tribe, a task Manny initially resists but eventually accepts. They are then joined by Diego, a cunning saber-tooth tiger who pretends to help them find the humans, but whose true mission is to lead Manny, Sid, and the baby into an ambush set by his pack leader, Soto, who wants the baby as a trophy. As the unlikely trio journeys across a perilous, freezing landscape filled with melting glaciers, volcanic eruptions, and quirky prehistoric creatures like the acorn-obsessed Scrat, they face numerous challenges that force them to rely on each other. During their perilous journey, Diego finds himself growing fond of his companions and the baby, leading to an internal conflict over his loyalty to his pack. This burgeoning friendship tests Diego's original treacherous plan, culminating in his ultimate decision to betray his pack and fight alongside Manny and Sid to protect the baby from Soto and his remaining saber-tooth tigers. After a fierce battle where Diego is injured protecting Manny, the baby is successfully reunited with its human father. The three unlikely heroes, now bound by genuine friendship and a shared journey, decide to remain together as a herd, continuing their migration south, having formed a new, unconventional family.
